My Thought of Media Use

In general, "media" refers to various means of communication. For example, television, radio, and the newspaper are different types of media. The term can also be used as a collective noun for the press or news reporting agencies. In the computer world, "media" is also used as a collective noun, but refers to different types of data storage options. (http://www.techterms.com/definition/media). In my opinion media refers to a big unity of things that we can defined to communicate each other. There are a lot of kinds of realize a media. For example printed media, digital media, and many more.

The main use of media is for communication, but as time goes there are some developments of media use. As a young adult, media is one of the main or primer needs in my life. Without media there just a lot of things that would be really difficult to solve and survive. Nowadays media give us an easy way to do everything, but back then I remember how hard people to communicate each other with a very limited media. As a human being we really can not live without communicating that's why media is one of the most important aspect to concern about. However media also often misused by the general public. I will focusing on teenager group. Teenager spend most of their time concern about media too much. Some of them just sitting in front of their computer for the whole day to playing game and forget about their school. Some of them watching television until so late and can't wake up at the next morning. Media can also be one factor in a teen vandal. There are just a lot of sex abuse that happened to the teenager because of media. Porn can be watch everywhere and so easy to find it. Censorship is no longer doing its job well and many more things that make teenager misuse   the use of media. However there are also a good advantage of media use for teenager. Especially in education aspect. We more attractive to moving objects then a still objects and sometime reading too much things just not efficient. That's why nowadays education program use a lot of utilization of media to realize their vision. For example they use attractive slide of powerpoint in their teaching method then write it on board or they use website as an e-learning for students to learn their subject without use a heavy book.

Media continues to evolve without us knowing or even can stop it and there would be a lot of advantages and disadvantages appear in the uses. That's why we as human being that has minds and instincts to really responsible in media use. If we can do that at least we can  minimize bad things happened in our earth.
